Indian leader strongly condemns the horrific blasts in Iran

New Delhi, July 17, IRNA – Strongly condemning the horrific blasts in Iran which has led to the loss of more than 20 lives and around 200 others injured, an Indian leader Friday said this terrorist attack was designed to inflict the maximum casualties in the crowded place.

In an interview with IRNA, Amrish Singh Gautam, Deputy Speaker of Delhi Assembly said: “This is a most tragic and horrific act of violence. At this difficult hour our thoughts are with the people of Iran and the families and friends of the victims of this terrible tragedy.

He said that "on behalf of the Government and people of India, I convey our deepest condolences. I wish to assure that India stands united with the countries in combating the forces of violence and terrorism".

Extending heartfelt condolences to all the families who have suffered grievous loss, Indian official said that the security agencies have to take all necessary steps to uncover the network of groups behind these outrages.

Two suicide attacks at a mosque in the city of Zahedan, capital of southeastern Sistan-Baluchestan province of Iran, took place Thursday night as people gathered there to celebrate the birthday of Imam Hussain (A.S.), grandson of the Holy Prophet Mohammed (PBUH)./end
