MAURITANIAN PRESIDENT TOURS HISTORIC CORE OF BAKU
Baku, July 16 (AzerTAc). President of Mauritania Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz has today toured the Icharishahar, Inner City, historic core of Azerbaijan`s capital.
The President was informed about the ongoing reconstruction work here.
The Mauritanian leader visited the 15th-century Palace of Shirvanshahs and the 12th–century Maiden Tower, which are considered the country`s landmark monuments.
The President also visited Karvansaray where he was informed about its history.
