Failed launch of Russia-Korea rocket not to affect Angara creation.

15/7 Tass 264

MOSCOW, July 15 (Itar-Tass) - The recent abortive launch of the
Russian-South Korean KSLV-1 rocket will not affect the timeframe of the
creation of the Russian advanced carrier rocket Angara, Director General
of the Khrunichev State Space Research and Production Centre Vladimir
Nesterov said on Thursday.
The Khrunichev Centre's head said that the Russian-Korean commission
for the investigation of the causes of the failed launch is still working,
therefore "it is inappropriate to speak about the conclusions in advance."
"But I can say that we so far have not found any anomalies in the work of
the first stage," Nesterov stressed. According to him, the time of the
commission's work depends on "how quickly we find out the causes" - as
such commissions sometimes work for seven-eight months.
Answering an Itar-Tass question about the further prospects for
cooperation with South Korea in the rocket-space sphere, Nesterov noted
that these prospects "will depend on the results of the commission's work."
