Pakistan playing major role for peace, stability in the region
Islamabad, July 22 (PPI) - Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Gilani says Pakistan is playing a major role for peace, stability in the region and committed to maintaining a minimum credible deterrence through conventional and strategic capabilities.
Talking to Chairman of Pakistan's Joint Chief of Staff Committee, General Tariq Majeed on Monday, he Minister said economic sovereignty, smooth political process, good neighborliness, friendly international environment and good governance and prerequisites for impregnable defence of the country.
Gilani said the government would continue to provide all necessary support to further enhance capabilities of armed forces to meet defence needs of the country.
