AZERBAIJAN ESTABLISHES COOPERATION IN DEFENSE INDUSTRY WITH OVER 60 COUNTRIES
Baku, July 14 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Ministry of Defense Industry is cooperating with over 60 countries, Minister Javer Jamalov said at a Cabinet Meeting chaired by President Ilham Aliyev to discuss the outcomes of the socio-economic development in the first half of 2010.
The Ministry set up production of 413 types of defense-related goods thanks to the introduction of cutting-edge equipment and technologies.
The production volume increased 2.8-fold from 2006 to 2009 and manufacture of defense-related goods 46-fold.
Jamalov pointed out Azerbaijan is capable of supplying its own military and exporting goods to foreign markets.
