BAKU HOSTS INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ALTERNATIVE AND RENEWABLE ENERGY
Baku, July 14 (AzerTAc). An international conference under the theme “Opportunities and prospects for use of alternative and renewable energy sources in Azerbaijan” has today kicked off in Baku.
The event is co-organized by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) and Azerbaijani Ministry of Industry and Energy.
Addressing the conference, ANAS vice-president, Arif Hashimov, highlighted the significance of the event.
Other speakers, including deputy Minister of Industry and Energy, Natig Abbasov, and deputy director of Azerbaijan State Agency for alternative and renewable energy sources, Jamil Aliyev, highlighted Azerbaijan`s potential in terms of using the alternative and renewable energy sources.
