"MONGOLIANS IN DEEL" FESTIVAL RUNS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The "Mongolians in Deel" festival for tourists ran Tuesday on the Sukhbaatar square. This event has been organized for the fourth year with an aim to expand assortment of tourists-targeted products in accordance of the "Ulaanbaatar tourism-2015" program.
The presented and propagandized were to foreign and domestic tourists the Mongolian national clothes, Mongolian ger (national dwelling), handicrafts, carvings and national folk arts.
The festival comprised the folk art concert, a parade-show of people in the deel (Mongolian national costume), a circus performance and ankle-bone shooting contest. The biggest part of the event, the parade, gathered some 2,500 people.
Then the best were named--the foreign couple in the deel, the youngest person in the deel, the best couple of dancers, the most stunning couple and the active ones.
