PRESIDENT PHONES D.MEDVEDEV
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The President of Mongolia Ts.Elbegdorj and his Russian counterpart D.Medvedev talked on the phone on the eve of the Naadam July 9.
The Russian President Medvedev congratulated Mr. Elbegdorj on Mongolia's National Great Festival Naadam and conveyed his best wishes to the Mongolian people. Mr. Medvedev said he is happy to learn that the President Elbegdorj will participate in the World Mongols Convention to run in Ulan-Ude, Russian Buryatia, and wished a success to the Convention.
The dignitaries exchanged opinions on and discussed the implementation and follow-up of issues agreed during Medvedev's visit to Mongolia in August 2009. They emphasized an importance of invigorating the follow-up work of the governments of the two countries.
The Presidents also discussed a possibility of having the Prime Ministers of the two countries meet during the Economic Forum to be held in Irkutsk, Russia in September this year, without excluding a possibility for the Mongolian Premier to visit the Russian Federation, if needs arise.
The President Medvedev confirmed his invitation to the President Elbegdorj to visit Russia, and said Mr. Elbegdorj is a welcomed guest, for his visit would elevate Mongolia-Russia relations to a new level.
