AZERBAIJAN PRESENTED AT THE TVER FORUM “THE INFORMATION SOCIETY”
Baku, July 13 (AzerTAc). The Deputy Minister of Communication and Information Technology of Azerbaijan Elmir Velizade took part in VII Tver social and economic forum titled “Information Society”.
Discussed were questions of development of information society in Russia, current state of affairs on forming of the “E-government”, related long-term plans.
Representative of the international organizations and some countries had exchange of experience on development of information society and forming the “Electronic government”.
E. Velizade, addressing the forum on the theme “Development of information society in the Azerbaijan Republic”, spoke about forming of information society in the country, the measures taken by the government in this direction, and also programs on forming of the “Electronic government”.
Participants also have familiarized themselves with an exhibition on which possibilities of application of information-communication technologies in the government were shown, in the system of public health services and social protection of population, in the education sphere, science, culture, safety of citizens, etc.
