Iran determined to use peaceful n-technology- MP

Mashhad, Razavi Khorasan Prov, July 13, IRNA – A member of Iran’s Majlis (Parliament) said Tuesday the Islamic Republic of Iran is strong-willed to protect its peaceful nuclear technology and to use peaceful nuclear energy.
Hossein Sobhani-Nia, Vice-Chairman of Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission told IRNA that an emergency bill on securing the country’s peaceful nuclear technology has been put forth in Majlis by 46 parliamentarians.
He further said that bill is expected to be finally approved in the Majlis open session on Tuesday.
Referring to the recent anti-Iran resolution that imposed new sanctions on the country, Sobhani-Nia said the bill is a response to that resolution from West against Iran’s efforts to gain peaceful nuclear knowledge.
The member of parliament said the economic sanctions on Iran aimed to halt the country’s peaceful nuclear activities, but Tehran is well determined to continue those activities and produce the 20-percent-enriched uranium for the Tehran research reactor./end
