BISHKEK, July 13 (Itar-Tass) -- Kyrgyz leader Roza Otunbayeva has
singed on Tuesday an ordinance on the formation of a presidential
administration, ITAR-TASS learnt at the press service of the interim
government of the republic.
Several months ago Kurmanbek Bakiyev removed
from power in April 2010 abolished the presidential administration and
created an institution of the head of state.
"To ensure the realization of the president's powers, as well as on
the basis of the constitution, a presidential administration was created
in accordance with Otunbayeva's ordinance," a representative of the press
service said. Former head of the apparatus of the interim government
Emilbek Kantagayev was appointed to the post of head of the
administration. He was instructed to bring in for approval a structure and
a staff of the presidential administration within seven days.
On Tuesday, Otunbayeva announced the structure of a new government. It
will include 17 ministries, seven state agencies, six state services and
two funds. As is expected, on October 10, parliamentary elections will be
held in the republic, after which a deputy corps will appoint a new prime
minister. Then Otunbayeva will give up the powers of prime minister but
will remain to be the president until December 31, 2011.
