Mottaki: Iran’s nuclear issue tops agenda of talks with Spanish officials
July 13, Madrid, IRNA – Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki said here Monday that Iran’s peaceful nuclear program is among most important topics of talks with Spanish officials.
Mottaki, who is in Madrid on a two-day official visit, heading a high ranking delegation, emphasized in an interview with IRNA that “Iran’s response to the Vienna Group is being prepared and would be presented to Mr. Amano after being finalized.”
He said that the other objectives of their visit of Spain include surveying the latest international developments, adding, “In my meeting with Foreign Minister Miguel Angel Moratinos we would also discuss the latest world affairs.”
Mottaki will hold his first round of talks with Moratinos on Tuesday.
Mottaki, who arrived in Madrid’s Barajas Airport on Monday evening, said that “Spain is among Iran’s partners in regional and Afghanistan affairs and the two countries exchange ideas on such matters at various gatherings.”/end
