Mashaie: Iran-Tajikistan must strive for cementing regional peace, stability
Dushanbe, July 13, IRNA – Head of Iran President Office Esfandiar Rahim Mashaie said here on Monday that Iran and Tajikistan should strive for stronger peace and stability in the region.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran plays an outstanding role internationally and we (Iranian and Tajik officials) should double efforts for expansion of mutual economic cooperation and guaranteeing peace and stability in the region,” Mashaie told Tajik Foreign Minister Hamrokhon Zarifi here on Monday.
He said the Islamic Republic of Iran takes firm step for building roads and railways in its, Tajik and Afghan territories.
Zarifi said for his part that the meeting of the three Persian speaking countries will be held in August, mandating the three sides to prepare all conditions for that.
Mashaie had already met Tajik President Imomali Rakhmon and Prime Minister Oqil Oqilov on Monday./end
