President: Iran a historical opportunity for Iranians, other nations

Tehran, July 13, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said here on Monday that Iran is today a historical opportunity not only for the Iranian nation but also for the entire humanity.

Addressing the 6th Seminar of the Members of Student Basij Headquarters, Ahmadinejad said that under God’s grace, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been founded to revive human values and grandeur.

He said the difference between those having divine outlook and the world’s corrupt powers is that the latter intend to downgrade and underestimate human beings and their value, considering them as a mere creature, while those distinguished with divine outlook, believe that human beings deserve attaining perfection and prosperity.

“It is deplorable that sometimes human value is downgraded to the extent that a person like (former US President George W.) Bush dares to kill one million people and some other persons in certain parts of the world are busy at labs producing contagious microbes with the goal to spread them among people, thus finding markets for their pharmaceutical products.”/end
