OSCE PA NEW PRESIDENT ELECTED
Baku, July 12 (AzerTAc). Voting was conducted in the frame of 19th annual session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly.
Mr. Efthymiou, who was a Vice-President in the Assembly, beat out Senator Consiglio Di Nino (Canada) by 130 votes to 64, was elected as the OSCE PA new president.
The Parliamentary Assembly also elected three new Vice-Presidents, Riccardo Migliori (Italy), Alexander Kozlovsky (Russia) and Oleg Bilorus (Ukraine), while Isabel Pozuelo (Spain) was re-elected.
The new President succeeds Joao Soares who has served as President for two one-year terms
