BEIJING, July 12 (Itar-Tass) -- Participants in the international
conference "Dialogue of civilizations and harmonious world," which opened
in the Chinese capital on Monday, discuss possibilities of harmonious
coexistence of various cultures, as well as historical lessons of the
global financial crisis. It was organized by the World Public Forum
"Dialogue of Civilizations" and the Chinese Fund of International Studies.
"China is a country of ancient civilization which continues to develop
in our time. At the same time, China pays serious attention to
achievements of other civilizations, other technological and innovation
approaches," president of the World Public Forum "Dialogue of
Civilizations" Vladimir Yakunin said.
The conference will focus on discussions of new approaches to the
formation of a post-crisis world order and the role of different regions
in this process. Experts of China, Russia, India, Italy, Germany, Great
Britain, the United States and other countries will take part in the
discussions.
