Jalili talks with Chinese, Russian top negotiators

Geneva, July 21, IRNA - Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili in separate meetings with the top Chinese and Russian nuclear negotiators on Sunday called for final settlement of Iran's nuclear dossier which was discussed with representatives of Group 6+1 in Geneva.

Group 6+1, which included high ranking representatives from Britain,Germany, France, China, Russia and the US and EU top negotiator Javier Solana, met with the Iranian envoy on Saturday and discussed various issues such as Iran's modality plan for continued talks.

In a meeting with Chinese and Russian deputy foreign ministers, hesaid Iran has adopted a strategic approach to the issue.

He said a number of remaining issues and problems could be betterresolved with the assistance of Group 6+1 rather than Group 7-1.

At the meetings, the top nuclear negotiators from China and Russia sharply criticized UNSC for slapping sets of sanctions against Iran and described the move as 'unconstructive' since it ruins theconfidence building process.
