Rudd off to the US

Former prime minister Kevin Rudd will leave for the United States on Saturday to
chair part of the Australian American Leadership Dialogue.
The deposed prime minister will be joined by his wife Therese Rein.
"Mr Rudd and Ms Rein have attended the Australian American Leadership Dialogue
regularly since its inception in 1993," a statement from Mr Rudd's office said on
Friday.
"Mr Rudd has been invited to chair the dialogue session on international security."
The dialogue is a non-government initiative where leaders from many sectors in both
nations come together for discussions.
