EU senior official in Yemen next week

SANA'A, July 08 (Saba) - A senior official of
European Union (EU) in charge of the Middle East affaires is expected to visit Yemen
for
a few days, well-informed sources said on Thursday.
The weekly 26 September said according to the sources that the European official
would hold several meetings with official in the government, particularly in
ministries
of Planning and International Cooperation, Industry and Trade and finance to discuss
the EU future support to Yemen.
EU ambassador in Yemen Michele Cervone D'urso said that EU is one of the Yemeni
development supporters, noting that the Commission has provided Yemen ¿ 55 million
and intends
to raise its future aid.
EU will focus its assistance in the future on propping up Yemen's efforts in
democracy, decentralization and social sector, D'urso said.
