He said that the Executive Bureau of Arab Environment Ministers Council held a meeting here yesterday and had a package of recommendations, passed them to the Arab Environment Ministers Council which is set to study them and forward them to the ArabEconomic summit which will be held in Kuwait early next year.
He pointed out that the most important points which the Council has focused on are the promotion of the environment in all social and economic services and the preservation of environment against currentnatural and human-made factors.
For his part, Egypt's Minister of Environment Majed George said that the meetings discussed the major themes presented to them which are pertaining to the issues of trade and environment as well as the creation of the global environment facility and the Arab coordination mechanism to fight disasters, pointing out that it was agreed to present the recommendations of the Council's Executive Bureau about these issues to the Arab Economic summit which will be held in Kuwaitnext year.
