Achieving agricultural integration among Arab countries discussed

SANA'A, July 07
(Saba)- Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Rae'i discussed here on Wednesday the
significance of
achieving integration in agricultural products among Arab countries and opening
markets for these products.
At his meeting with Syrian Peasants Union's delegation head Hamad al-Saud,
currently visiting Yemen, al-Rae'i affirmed the importance of paying more attention
to the agricultural
sector for its vital role in developing the national economy.
He also made clear that there is a need to encourage farmers and to improve the
quality of agricultural products, calling to support the agricultural unions and
expanding
activities in that field.
The Parliament Speaker valued relations level and cooperation between Yemen and
Syria as well as the Syrian supportive position towards Yemen and its unity and
stability.
For his part, the Syrian official hailed the positive development seen in Yemen in
different fields, affirming his country's fix position for Yemen's unity.
Achieving the self-sufficiency of local products plays a big role in facing the
challenges imposed by the imported goods, he said,calling to provide all suitable
conditions
to support this economic and developmental sector.
