Arab, Yemen Orphan Forum launched

SANA'A, July 07 (Saba) - The Arab and Yemen
Orphans Forum launched here on Wednesday under the slogan "Generation builds and
protects its
nation".
The forum was organized by al-Etqan Social Charitable Association in cooperation
with the Yemeni Awareness Association and attended by 300 orphans, 50 of them are
form 11
Arab states.
Inaugurating the Forum, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Amat al-Razaq Humad
noted to the care and support offered to the orphans by President Ali Abdullah
Saleh.
She pointed out that the cabinet has approved recently a bylaw regulating the
orphanages affaires and improving the orphans' abilities and skills. The bylaw also
includes
carrying out an urgent study for identifying the orphans' needs.
In that regard, she talked about the importance of creating partnership between the
Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and government to coordinate for rehabilitating
and
preparing orphans to be leaders in the society in future.
