CHIEF OF STATE COMMITTEE FOR WORK WITH RELIGIOUS ASSOCIATIONS MEETS IRANIAN MINISTER OF CULTURE AND ISLAMIC GUIDANCE
Baku, July 7 (AzerTAc). Chief of the Azerbaijan State Committee for the Work with Religious Associations Hidayat Orujov has today met Iranian Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini.
The talks focused on relations between Azerbaijan and Iran, particularly cultural cooperation.
Orujov said relationship between Azerbaijan and Iran was founded by national leader Heydar Aliyev. He added President Ilham Aliyev pays special attention to the development of bilateral cooperation.
Orujov noted the Iranian minister`s visit would contribute to expanding cultural cooperation between the two countries.
Seyyed Mohammad Hosseini, in turn, said during the current trip he witnessed great changes in Azerbaijan since he visited the country three years ago.
The sides discussed other issues of mutual concern.
