ANAMA DESTROYS OVER 4 THOUSAND UXOS AND MINES IN JUNE
Baku, June 7 (AzerTAc). The Azerbaijan National Mine Action (ANAMA) has cleared 2,245,923 sq. meters area of land from 4,372 Unexploded Ordnances (UXO) in June. Twenty one tanks and one personnel mines were found.
Demining operations involved 425 deminers, 6 mechanical demining machines, 30 mine detection dogs.
To date, ANAMA has cleared 135,426,941 sq.m. of land, destroying 618,77 mines and UXOs.
The Agency has carried demining operations in Tartar, Agdam, Agstafa, Fizuli, Gadabay, and Garadag district of Baku.
