Three four-point earthquakes shake Kamchatka, Kuriles.

VLADIVOSTOK, July 6 (Itar-Tass) - Three four-point earthquakes have
shaken the Kamchatka peninsula and the Kuril Islands over the past 24
hours.
An earth jolt measuring 4.2 points was recorded on the night from
Monday to Tuesday in the area of Cape Kronotsky on the eastern coast of
Kamchatka. The focus of the tremor was at a depth of 70 kilometres, the
Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences has reported.
On Monday, an earthquake with a magnitude of 4.8 points was recorded
in the area of Shikotan Island. Another jolt measuring 4.3 points shook
the uninhabited island of Urup. Those tremors occurred at depth ranging
from 50 to 110 km.
According to Far Eastern seismologists, none of the earthquakes was
felt in Kamchatka or Kuriles inhabited areas, and there was no tsunami
threat.
