AZERI DELEGATION TAKES PART IN WORLD CUSTOMS ORGANIZATION`S REGULAR SESSION
Baku, July 6 (AzerTAc). Chairman of Azerbaijan State Customs Committee (SCC) Aydin Aliyev and his accompanying delegation participated in the World Customs Organization`s regular session in Brussels, Belgium.
The event brought together over 150 representatives from state customs services. Secretary General of the World Customs Organization Kunio Mikuriya briefed about events carried out during the last year session. France`s ex-President Jacques Chirac told of drug smuggling and danger of sale of medication via internet.
Azeri customs chairman Aydin Aliyev informed about current state of construction of the European regional office in Baku to strengthen the SCC potential. Mr. Aliyev and chief of Macedonian Customs Committee Vanco Kargov signed agreement on capacity building of personnel between Azerbaijani and Macedonian Customs Services. Aydin Aliyev held bilateral meetings with the heads of customs services of Turkey, Mongolia, Israel, Zambia, Luxemburg, Iran, Estonia, Austria, China, Finland, Macedonia, Georgia.
Head of New Zealnad`s Customs Service Martyin Dann was reelected as Chairman of WCO.
