Iran President expresses condolences on Fadlallah's demise

Tehran, July 5, IRNA – President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad Sunday evening expressed condolences on the death of leading Lebanese cleric, Allameh Mohammad Hussein Fadlallah.
In a message to his Lebanese counterpart Michel Suleiman, he expressed his deep regret over the demise of Grand Ayatollah Fadlallah, 75, who died in a Beirut hospital where he was admitted on Friday for internal bleeding.
Allameh Fadlallah, was an outstanding figure who was known for his life-long struggle and support for the Islamic resistance in Lebanon.
President Ahmadinejad said in his message that the valuable services of that honorable cleric for national unity and his perseverance with the resistance will live on in the history of Lebanon.
The President also condoled the Lebanese nation and government on the sad demise of Allameh Fadlallah.
In a separate message, the Iranian President expressed condolences to (late) Ayatollah Fadlallah's family.
