Larijani: Iran will never yield to bullying powers

Tehran, July 5, IRNA -- Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani said on Sunday that Iran has stood up to the bullying powers and will never yield to them.
Larijani added that developed countries make every efforts to create obstacles in the way of progress of Eastern countries but Iran is determined to resist the pressures exerted by bullying powers.
Larijani made the remarks in a meeting with co-chairman of Thailand-Iran parliamentary friendship group Areepen Utarasint.
Larijani said that big powers try to prevent the country from acquiring peaceful nuclear know-how as they oppose to progress of the Eastern nations.
Larijani condemned the Zionist regime for desecration of the Islamic sanctities in Holy Qods, construction of settlements and compulsory migration from the West Bank.
He expressed the hope that world Muslims through collective cooperation would help the oppressed Palestinian nation to vindicate their legitimate rights.
Given deep-rooted relations between the two nations, Larijani said profound cultural affinity has created suitable grounds for expansion of economic, political and commercial cooperation between the two nations and expansion of parliamentary ties could help deepen and bolster such ties.
Iran’s capabilities and extensive facilities in economy, industry, technological know-how and science would help broaden relations between the two nations, he said.
Utarasint for his part expressed pleasure with his visit to Iran and said expansion of parliamentary cooperation would help bolster and deepen ties between the two nations.
Expansion of parliamentary cooperation is significant part of relations between nations, he said adding that the Thai government and its nation fully back expansion of parliamentary cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Benefiting from peaceful nuclear energy, is among Iran’s legitimate rights, he said adding that he believes that the current problems will be resolved to the benefit of Iran and the resistance of the country in vindicating its legitimate rights will turn the country to an exemplary model for Muslim World.
Grounds for expansion of cooperation in agricultural and tourism sectors are well-prepared, Utarasint said./end
