Govt submits investment protection agreement with Abkhazia to Duma.

MOSCOW, July 4 (Itar-Tass) - Russia's Cabinet of Ministers submitted
an intergovernmental agreement with Abkhazia on encouragement and mutual
protection of investments to the State Duma for ratification on Saturday,
the press service of the lower house of parliament told Itar-Tass.
"At present, the legal base on economic cooperation between Russia and
Abkhazia resolves not in full the issues pertaining to protection of
mutual investments and settlement of investment disputes," according to
the accompanying documents.
The agreement's ratification will help to create a necessary normative
legal base in this area of cooperation.
