Pak senator flays US for imposing sanctions on Iran

Islamabad, July 4, IRNA – A Pakistani lawmaker condemned on Saturday the decision of the United States to impose fresh sanctions on Iran, terming it unjustified.

US President Barack Obama has recently signed law of US sanctions on Iran. The new sanctions are imposed as the first move by the United States to implement the latest UN Security Council resolution against Iran, which was approved on June 9.

Speaking to IRNA Syed Javed Ali Shah of Pakistan Muslim League-Q said that the move to isolate Iran will fail. “Practically these sanctions are against whole Muslim world”, he viewed.

He stressed the need upon the unification of Muslim community to foil the evil designs of US against them.

“It is very unfortunate that we Muslims are divided and west is taking advantage of that”, he regretted.

Syed Javed Ali Shah expressing his views said that the west especially US regard Islam as the only hurdle in the implementation of imperialism.

“They want to implement imperialism at any cost”, he said.

The politician said that US wants to ruin whole Muslim world that is why that had attacked Iraq and Afghanistan. “Their ultimate goal is to eliminate Muslim Ummah”, he charged.

Syed Javed Ali Shah said that US is against Iran only because it does not bow down to the US pressure.

Iran being the signatory of Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) can use nuclear energy for peaceful means yet US and west have been suspecting on Iran’s nuclear program saying that Iran is trying to build an atomic bomb, which Iran has strongly denied.

Tehran has repeatedly declared that it will never relinquish the legitimate nuclear rights of the Iranian nation, no matter how much pressure the west imposes on the country through sanctions.

Syed Javed Ali Shah urged the Muslim community to sink their differences and unite against the enemies of Islam.

He said the Muslim countries should revisit polices for US and asked them to stand against anti-Islam conspiracies./end
