RF FM helps Russians staying in Kyrgyzstan during acute conflict.

MOSCOW, July 1 (Itar-Tass) -- The Russian Foreign Ministry was helping
Russian citizens, who were staying in Kyrgyzstan during an acute stage of
the conflict, Foreign Ministry spokesman Andrei Nesterenko said on
Thursday.
"The vital task of the Russian Embassy in Bishkek and the General
Consulate in Osh during that period was to take Russian citizens staying
on short trips there out of the conflict zone," he noted. "Specifically,
this was holidaymakers and people on missions," the diplomat elaborated.
"The airplanes of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations evacuated
200 Russian citizens from Kyrgyzstan from June 14 to 26," Nesterenko cited
a statistical report. "The staff of the Kyrgyz Defence Ministry and the
Interior Ministry was involved to ensure security of bringing Russians to
the homeland," he noted.
"The hotlines were operating round-the-clock with calls coming from
Russian citizens staying in the conflict zone and from their relatives,"
the Foreign Ministry spokesman said.
"Russian diplomatic missions in Kyrgyzstan were also participating in
the distribution of relief supplies brought from Russia. Russia has
already passed relief supplies to 800 Russians, primary necessities and
foodstuffs will be distributed among 15,000 Russians in the Osh and
Jalal-Abad regions," Nesterenko underlined.
