"The two death-row convicts were picked up at East Java's Medaeng Detention House at 11.51 pm on Friday and were executed at 0.20 am on Saturday," Head of East Java Higher Prosecutor's Office H Purwosudiro said.
He said that the execution was conducted in East Java Regional Police's square.
"We departed from the Medaeng Detention House at 11.51 pm on Friday and arrived in the firing location at 0.05 am on Saturday. A five-minute ceremony led by the East Java Prosecutor Office head was held," he said.
He said that after the ceremony the convicts were seated against two poles on firing platform with heads covered. Prayers were conveyed by a churchman until 0.13 am.
