UNIDO DIRECTOR-GENERAL TOURS HISTORIC CORE OF BAKU
Baku, June 29 (AzerTAc). Director-General of the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) Kandeh Yumkella has visited today the Icharishahar, Inner City, historic core of Azerbaijan`s capital.
He was informed about the ongoing reconstruction work here.
Yumkella visited the 15th-century Palace of Shirvanshahs and the 12th–century Maiden Tower, which are considered the country`s landmark monuments.
He also visited Karvansaray and Muhammed mosque.
The Director-General signed the Inner City`s Honorary Guests Book.
