AMBASSADOR TO MEXICO PRESENTS CREDENTIALS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mongolia to the United Mexican States Kh.Bekhbat presented his letter of credence to the Mexican President Felipe Calderón on Monday. After the ceremony, the Ambassador was received by Mr Calderón and the Mexican Foreign Minister Mrs. Patricia Espinosa.
The Ambassador conveyed greetings--from Mongolia's President to Mr. Calderyn and from the Minister of Foreign Affairs Zandanshatar to Mrs. Espinosa. He expressed a willingness of Mongolia to develop the relations and cooperation with Mexico and said the countries may cooperate in cultural, educational and mining sectors.
The Ambassador noted that the 20th anniversary of the Mongolian democracy, the 200th anniversary of the independence of Mexico, the 100th anniversary of the Mexican revolution and the 35th anniversary of the Mongolia-Mexico diplomatic relations are celebrated this year, and expressed a confidence that the two countries will cooperate actively in multilateral frames on global peace, stability and climate change.
Mr. Bekhbat also held meetings with Raul Dominguez, head of Mexico-Mongolia parliamentary group; a head of the Asia-Pacific Department of the Mexican Foreign Ministry, and other officials to exchange opinions on expanding the bilateral relations and cooperation.
