Iran condemns harsh attitude of Canada police

Tehran, June 29, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehman-Parast Tuesday condemned the harsh attitude of the Canadian police towards the peaceful demonstrations of its people.
Referring to the protest demonstrations held on the sidelines of the G20 summit in Toronto, Canada, in the past few days, he said the move by the Canadian police was a clear violation of human rights including the freedom of expression.
He reiterated that the harsh attitude of the police towards the peaceful demonstrations of people is by no means justified.
Mehman-Parast voiced Tehran’s deep concern over the lack of life security and violation of rights of the citizens of that country, advising the Canadian government to observe rights of the detainees and to secure the judicial process of the accused./end
