BSF kills two BDR personnel in Chapainawabganj
RAJSHAHI, Bangladesh, July 19 (BSS)- Two Bangladesh Rifles (BDR)
personnel were shot dead by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) on
Raghunathpur frontier under Shibganj upazila in the district
midnight last night.
BDR sources said, a BSF patrol team from Neemtita outpost in
Murshidabad district intruded about 1.5 kilometer into
Bangladesh's territory by a speed boat.
Without any provocation, BDR said, the BSF men started
firing on a BDR team while they were patrolling along the
country's northwestern frontier, leaving two of its men dead on
the spot.
They were Havilder Hannan, 52, and Lance Nayek Krisna, 38,
of Raghunathpuu BDR outpost.
BDR Rajshahi Sector Commander Col Mohammad Iqbal sent a
letter to his BSF counterpart protesting the killing of two BDR
personnel and hold a flag meeting in this regard.
"We are awaiting for the reply to hold the flag meeting", Col
Iqbal told BSS.
