DP'S FACTION MEETS
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, /MONTSAME/ Regular meeting of the Democratic Party's faction, held Monday, discussed several matters and reached agreements. The agendas were focused mainly on issues to be considered at parliamentary Standing committees' meetings this week.
The faction discussed firstly the basic guidelines of developing Mongolia's socio-economy until 2011, and decided to set up a related working group. Meanwhile, other working groups introduced their conclusions at the meeting with additional proposals of the faction's members. Then the groups were ordered to prepare their agendas together with the proposals to have consider them at meeting of the Standing committees and plenary meeting of parliamentary session.
The faction's meeting discussed a draft amendment to the law on issuing guarantee for money of bank deposit, and considered as necessary to discuss a bill on this matter submitted from the government. The faction backed a draft resolution of parliament on changing boundaries of some natural complex areas.
One of the important issues discussed was a construction of a thermal power station based on coal mine of Mogoi River. The faction's members made related conclusions, and a Minister of Minerals and Energy gave related commentaries as well.
