TURKISH COMPANY CONSTRUCTING 5 NEW HOSPITALS IN IRAQ

GAZIANTEP (A.A) - 28.06.2010 - Turkey's Acarsan Group, a company with headquarters in south-eastern province of Gaziantep, will complete the construction of five new hospitals in Iraq by the beginning of 2012.
The hospitals are being constructed in the Iraqi cities of Kerbela, Basra, Babil-Hilla, Missan and Nasiriyah.
Speaking to the AA, the President of the Executive Board of Acarsan Group, Selim Acar, said Monday that they had been working with the Iraqi market for the past 27 years.
We will complete the construction of five hospitals in Iraq by the beginning of 2012. The hospitals will provide a total of 2,000 beds. The five hospitals will cost 750 million USD to construct, Acar said.
We are expecting to win new tenders in Iraq. There are many infrastructure projects in Iraq and we intend to be involved in such Iraqi infrastructure projects, Acar said.
In 2010, we plan to construct a factory for the production of macaroni in Gaziantep. We will also begin the construction of a German hospital in Gaziantep in 2010, Acar said.
Acarsan Group makes plans to provide employment to around 5,000 people by the end of 2010.
