Tehran, June 28, IRNA – a Group of people gathered in front of the French Embassy in Tehran on Monday to protest France’s support for the terrorist Mojahedeen Khalq Organization (MKO).

The group which mainly comprised of families of martyrs carried banners and chanted slogans in condemnation of the crimes of the terrorist grouplet.

Participants urged the French government to hand over criminal MKO members to Iran.

The gathering took place on the anniversary of a bomb attack on the central office of Jomhuri Eslami party in Tehran in 1981 by the terrorist MKO in which 72 of party members, some of whom leading political and religious figures, lost their lives.

The crowd which mostly included families of the martyrs of the incident said the French government had a share of the MKO crimes by giving them refuge on its soil.

A few hundred of MKO members are currently living in France. They are held responsible for the assassination and martyrdom of about 12 thousand Iranians./end
