Iran will react to ship inspection - Official
Tehran, June 27, IRNA – Chairman of the Islamic Republic of Iran Shipping Lines (IRISL) said Sunday if Iran’s merchant ships are inspected, the Iranian government will strongly react to this illegal action.
“According to the international law, any country is entitled to guard its territorial waters,” Mohamad-Hossein Dajmar said adding that, Iran can inspect any suspected ship in its waters in a bid to react to their acion.
The United Nations Security Council (UNSC) has recently imposed new sanctions on Iran in favor of which some certain stated have voted.
Dajmar underlined Iran would not let any inspections of its ships sailing under the flag of the Islamic Republic of Iran. He underlined that Iran's acts will be within the framework of relaed international laws./end
