AZERI ARMY ‘CAPABLE OF LIBERATING ITS OCCUPIED LANDS IN A SHORT PERIOD OF TIME’
Baku, June 26 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Armed Forces are capable of liberating the country`s Armenia-occupied lands, said a member of the parliament`s security and defense committee.
Elman Mammadov said: “If peace talks fail to give any results, Azerbaijan`s army will undoubtedly clean its occupied territories from the aggressors, the Armenian armed forces.”
He praised the Azerbaijani President`s placing “a particular emphasis” on the country`s Armed Forces: ”It is President Ilham Aliyev`s care and support that allowed the country to have strengthened its Armed Forces, and brought its army to world standards.”
“It is not accidental that the military spending in the budget exceeds 2 billion US dollars,” added Mammadaov.
The MP also said: “The parliament considers improving social conditions of servicemen among its key priorities.”
“The Milli Majlis has adopted a number of laws in this regard,” said Mammadov.
