Dr. William Vendley: King's initiative for Dialogue is a message

Madrid, July 19, SPA -- Dr. William F. Vendley, Secretary General of
the World Conference of Religions for Peace in the United States, has
expressed appreciation for the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy
Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud for holding the World
Conference on Dialogue.

He said "This (Madrid) World Conference on Dialogue is a message
from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques to the peoples of the
world to live in peace and fraternal coexistence as common human
denominators that are shared by all religions, cultures and different
civilizations".

He said "This conference invites us to move towards changing what
happens in the world where millions of children die because of
poverty and famine".

In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) today, he added "The
problems that we live in our world today will not be resolved unless
the peoples of the world cooperate together unitedly".

He praised the meeting of King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz with the
Vatican Pope Benedict XVI and said "The beautiful meanings of this
meeting do not mean that each party gives up on his beliefs but it
was meant to forge a common understanding and promote cooperation for
the sake of human dignity".
