Gazprom, China's positions on gas prices get closer to each other.

MOSCOW, June 25 (Itar-Tass) -- Positions on gas price of Russia's
Gazprom and the Chinese side have approached each other, Gazprom's CEO
Alexei Miller said at the company's annual meeting of shareholders on
Friday.
Gazprom expects the constructive dialogue with China may give a result
very soon, Prime-Tass reports Miller as saying.
Earlier, Gazprom signed an agreement on the basic terms of the
supplies to China, and the two sides continue the discussion of the timing
and amounts of the supplies, Gazprom's head of international economic
relations department, Stanislav Tsygankov, said.
"We hope to agree on all parameters and have the documents signed
within the set timeframe," he said.
The agreements between Gazprom and China's National Petroleum
Corporation and intergovernmental agreements cover discussions on the
supplies by the western route /the so-called Altai project/ and by the
eastern route.
Earlier, Gazprom's Deputy CEO Alexander Medvedev said that the planned
activities for 2010-2015 might make it possible to begin the supplies of
Russia's natural gas to China in 2015 already.
China is a priority market for Gazprom in the Asian-Pacific Region
/APR/. Other key markets there of interest for Gazprom are South Korea,
and Japan. For later periods, Gazprom will consider niche markets, for
example in Singapore. Gazprom's supplies to the APR markets may reach the
level of its supplies to Europe.
