AZERI FM MEETS NEW IRAQI AMBASSADOR
Baku, June 24 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan`s Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmar Mammadyarov has today met incoming Iraqi ambassador Heydar Shiya Gubeysi al-Barrak.
The ambassador handed over his credentials to the Azerbaijani minister, expressing satisfaction with his appointment.
The diplomat said the two countries had “great” potential to developing their cooperation, vowing he would spare no efforts to contribute to expanding the bilateral ties.
The Azeri minister congratulated the new ambassador and wished him success in his activities. Mammadyarov expressed hope relationship between Azerbaijan and Iraq would be boosted.
