Sevtlana Medvedev visits Russian Cultural Centre, Russkaya Zhizn newspaper

SAN FRANCISCO, June 24 (Itar-Tass) -- Russia's First Lady Sevtlana
Medvedev visited the Russian Cultural Centre, which turned 70 last year,
and the office of the Russkaya Zhizn (Russian Life) newspaper in San
Francisco.
She visited the museum at the Russian Cultural Centre and was taken on
a tour, during which the guides told her of the history of Russian
immigration in San Francisco. The museum was opened in 1945 and is a
"small fragment of the Russian empire", as museum employees call it.
It features exhibits from around the world, which tell of the history
of Russian immigration.
Svetlana Medvedev also visited the office of the Russkaya Zhizn
newspaper, whose purpose is to "tell the readers more truthfully and
objectively of what is happening in Russia", its editor-in-chief Vladimir
Belyayev said.
