GCC support to Yemen discussed: al-Qirbi says
SANA'A, June 23 (Saba) - Foreign
Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi returned home on Wednesday after taking part in the
meeting of Foreign
Ministers of Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and Yemen held in Tuesday in Manama, the
Bahraini capital.
Al-Qirbi told Saba the meeting has touched on several issues, topped by Yemen's
relations with GCC's states, their development support to Yemen, accelerating the
implementation
of the approved projects and their funds have been already allocated in addition to
create new implementation mechanisms.
The ministers decided to consider these issues with the GCC secretary general in
another meeting to be held in July, Foreign Minster said.
Yemeni labor issue has been discussed in the meeting and the efforts that Yemen
could make with the GCC's states to allow the Yemeni labor works in their states.
Moreover, the ministers also reviewed the GCC's states support for Yemen under the
"Yemen's Friends Group", for 2011 - 2015 fourth five-year plan and for propping up
the
government to alleviate the state's budget deficit, al-Qirbi said.
