Meetings on the sidelines of the World Conference on Dialogue

Madrid, July 17, SPA -- Informal meetings among the World Conference on Dialogue's participants at the corridors of Auditorium Hotel in the Spanish capital, Madrid, the venue of the conference, have become a daily phenomenon considered by observers here as a mature positive result of the three-day event.
It became familiar to see bilateral meetings being held in the
aftermath of sessions or during the breaks by participants in the
conference and people interested in dialogue, to exchange views on
the conferences themes which cover the social ethics, family
disintegration, environment, and drug and corruption combating.
This meeting gathered scholars from Muslim scholars, senior
Christian clergies and Jewish rabbis as well as dignitaries
representing other faiths.
Those meetings constitute a model for the possibility of
peaceful coexistence between followers of different religions,
cultures, ideologies and philosophies, a genuine goal of the
conference.
