Syrian vice-president arrives in Tehran
Tehran, June 23, IRNA -- Syrian Vice-President Farouq ash-Shara heading a high ranking political delegation arrived in Tehran on Tuesday and was welcomed by Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki at Mehrabad international airport.
During his two-day stay, ash-Shara is to confer with his Iranian counterpart, Mohammad Reza Rahimi, President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani and Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki on expansion of mutual relations as well as regional and international cooperation.
IRNA diplomatic correspodent said that Tehran-Damascus broadbased cooperation is on top of the meeting's agenda./end
