German envoy summoned over mistreatment of Iranian citizen
TEHRAN, June 23 (MNA) – The German ambassador to Iran was summoned the Foreign Ministry on Tuesday to protest over the beating of an Iranian citizen in the German embassy in Tehran.
The foreign ministry expressed strong objection to Ambassador Brand Erbel over the issue. Erbel said he was not aware of the attack. However, he promised to investigate the issue and inform Iran’s Foreign Ministry of the results of the inquiry.
