Magadan Region waiting for Japanese to develop goldfields.

MAGADAN, June 22 (Itar-Tass) - The Magadan Region stages on Tuesday
the launching of projects in Japan, connected with gold mining.
Programmes, inviting potential investors for cooperation in developing
goldfields, are presented at the Russian embassy in Tokyo.
The administration of the Magadan Region states great interest in
investment projects from Japan, noting that delegations from over 100
Japanese companies as well as from the Japanese government arrived for the
presentation.
Regional Governor Nikolai Dudov, speaker of the regional legislative
assembly Alexander Alexandrov, executives of companies, engaged in gold
and silver production, members of the science community, working in the
region, describe prospects for the development of the region.
The Magadan delegation in Tokyo plans to meet representatives from
Japanese companies, engaged in production of gas turbines, as well as the
leadership of the Japanese trading association. Dudov and his team plan
talks at the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry, the Foreign Ministry
and the Japanese agency for natural resources and energy. The delegation
will return to Magadan on June 25.
